I did a lot more shopping than usual this week. Here’s a quick recap of my trips.
I made two CVS stops this week. On my first CVS trip, I spent $3.88 and saved $21.98 (85%). On my second CVS trip I spent $3.96 and saved $20.00 (83%). I only need to scan my little shopping bag tag one more time to get my $1.00 ECB. I have to remember to start taking that with me!!
I made a lunch hour stop at Walmart. I don’t usually shop there, but I had heard that they had the Finish automatic dishwasher starter kits on sale. I ended up spending $9.35 for $26.35 worth of merchandise. I also got to use up some coupons that would have expired soon.
We had done a pretty good sized restocking trip at Kroger last Saturday. We spent $74.06 and saved $106.78. Be sure to check out my clearance razor find and how I ended up with SIX jars of yeast for $.89 each! I made a quick run through Kroger at lunchtime yesterday, mainly to take advantage of the 10 Item Mega Event. Yesterday I was able to save 63% using just printable coupons!
Your turn…
Here is your chance to share the best deals you personally found this week! You can include drugstore, grocery store, or online finds. Pictures are helpful but not necessary. The same goes for coupons. If you can add information on which coupons you used, that will help your fellow bargain-hunters. But it’s not necessary.

I got lots of deals this week, but the best one (okay, there was lots of free stuff at Rite Aid, but the best one for stuff I actually needed) was for Kraft singles at Kroger. 16 slice packages of Kraft singles were part of the mega sale, so they were $1.79. I bought 10 packages. Then Kraft had a catalina deal, where you get $5 off your next order for every 5 packages. Plus, I had 5 coupons for $1 off 2. I ended up spending $2.79 for 10 packages of cheese. Might sound like a lot of cheese to some, but my dh & dd eat a TON of cheese!

WOW! I think it’s WISE to buy that much at once, especially when it’s something you know you like and know you’ll use. Smart shopping!

Sorry, I might be mistaken…I don’t think the Kraft singles were part of the mega-sale. They were just on sale for $1.79.

I think you’re right about them just being on sale, Beth. I did the same thing when I was at the store. I kept counting them toward my 10 items for the Mega Event! It’s hard to keep track of! 🙂

Here in the Mid-Atlantic region the Kraft bar, shredded and singles were priced at $0.99 for the Mega Event. I bought 15 packages of cheese today and received $15 in catalina coupons back! I was so excited as I did not think that more than one catalina would print in the same transaction. I was okay with paying $0.99, but FREE is even better! Plus I used (3) $1/2 coupons so technically a moneymaker!
Cheese has a very long expiration date and we eat a lot of it. I stocked up like this a few months back when the mega event was running.

OOHHHH…. I’m jealous! Our prices always seem to be just a little bit higher around here. I would definitely be stocking up at that price!!
