I LOVE to get handwritten notes in the mail. Besides the fact that they’re better than bills, there’s just something about someone taking the time to write a note and mail it. One of my goals this year is to teach Emma the importance of letting people know that you’re thinking of them… of taking the time to drop a note in the mail. We’re going to start with birthdays and then add some ‘thinking of you’ cards into the mix.
This deal from Vistaprint is perfect for what we’re doing. Right now Vistaprint is offering 10 FREE notecards and envelopes. You just pay shipping (which should be under $5). You can personalize the cards with your name or a Scripture verse or favorite saying. You can even upload your own pictures. I just ordered the ones in the picture above for Emma. She’ll love their girly-girl design and the fact that her name is on them.
If you aren’t a card-sender, these might also make a nice addition to a Christmas gift basket. When I was teaching, notecards were one of my favorite teacher gifts from students! I’ve given stationery gift baskets to people for Christmas in the past and included some notecards and envelopes, pretty pens, and stamps. It makes it easy for people to jot a quick note and drop it in the mail.
So am I the only one who still loves a hand-written note? I’m guessing you would rather have one of those cute notecards peeking out of your mailbox than your electric bill. 🙂 Click here to see the hundreds of notecard designs that are available. This deal is only good through Friday (9/2).
