It’s here!!! Yesterday was our first day of 3rd grade. For some reason, she seems so much bigger to me this year than last year. She’s incredibly excited about being in 3rd grade, and her enthusiasm was contagious today. I love that she loves to learn!
She also took me very seriously when I told her that we would be using American Girl books along with our homeschooling. She wanted to make sure they got their pictures taken today too. 🙂
To keep it real and honest…. Mama was stressed today. I felt over-anxious and under-prepared. It’s funny because this is our fourth year of homeschooling. You would think it would get easier each year. But for some reason, her being in third grade put more pressure on me. Being a perfectionist probably doesn’t help, eh?
The solution? Just starting. I could wait until I had everything perfectly ready to go and just the way I wanted it. But if I did, we may not start until December! Instead, we just started. I planned most of our subjects, but not all of them. I figured one week wouldn’t kill us, and it would help me feel less stressed. And you know what? It was great!
