I absolutely LOVE it when Amazon releases books from a series as free. I’ve been reading The Green Series where bigger-city newspaper editor Lois moves to a small town in Louisiana to run the local newspaper, and they are great reads! I was hoping the next book would be available for free, and today it is!
Rally ‘Round Green (The Green Series)
Green survived a tornado, but now the town faces a new storm—one that threatens the schools! As Green continues to recover from a horrendous tornado, newlyweds Lois and Chris just want to return to a normal life in their home on Route Two. But even more threats to Green loom on the horizon. The state of Louisiana announces plans to close Green’s schools, which will put Chris out of work and end a long-standing tradition of community pride. Lois and Chris know the loss will crush the community and harm students forced to travel more than an hour to classes. Then there’s that new highway that’s creeping even closer . . .
But Green has another tradition: Rallying around each other. Newspaper owner Lois, Mayor Eva, and college students unite to fight the bureaucrats, with some surprising—and unexpected results.
I’ve also enjoyed The Psalm 23 Mysteries series, and I’ve always wondered what happened in the first book. Well now it’s available free.
The Lord is My Shepherd (Psalm 23 Mysteries)
Church secretary Cindy Preston stumbles over a dead body at First Shepherd Presbyterian; racing almost immediately to her aid is Jeremiah Silverman, rabbi of the neighboring synagogue, who can bust some pretty good moves from having spent his youth in Israel. It’s clear soon enough that the events of Christian Holy Week, which coincide with the celebration of Passover for Silverman and his congregants, have special significance for the killer, and Cindy, Jeremiah, and Det. Mark Walters work to solve the mystery while the killer continues.
Remember, you don’t have to have a Kindle to read these. You can read them on your computer, iPhone, BlackBerry, iPad, Droid, or Windows 7 phone.
Amazon changes prices quickly, so if you want these free books, be sure to grab them now. I haven’t read either of these, so I’m not personally recommending them. I just wanted to let you know that they were available for free.
