I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for HoneyBaked Ham. I received a gift card to facilitate my shopping trip and to thank me for participating.
Hosting an annual Christmas party was one of our traditions years ago. It was always so much fun — well, maybe minus one year’s white elephant gift that was a whole fish from the Giant Eagle seafood department. As more of our friends got married and headed different directions, life got busier and the annual Christmas party was forgotten.
Until this year.
One of the things I wanted to make sure we did this Christmas was host a Christmas party. I wanted to practice hospitality and invite our friends in to celebrate with us.
Since I’ve been sharing with you a little bit about how I’m trying to slow down and not stress this Christmas, having a Christmas party may seem to contradict what I’ve been saying. But really, it goes hand-in-hand. This year I wanted to slow down and enjoy the things that really matter, like friends and family.
I also decided that I wasn’t cooking for the party. For real.
Instead of spending days in the kitchen getting ready to feed our crew, I ordered a ham from HoneyBaked Ham and asked each guest to bring a covered dish. They were all excited to bring their favorite dishes and share family recipes.
I spent a little time cleaning up the house and sent my husband to the HoneyBaked Ham store to pick up our ham.
It was that easy.
I literally just put the ham in the oven to warm and picked up some paper products. Since the HoneyBaked Ham was already sliced, I didn’t even have that job! I was able to spend the evening enjoying the company of our friends. They RAVED about the ham! I loved that there was enough left over for a couple more meals and some bean soup.
As you’re baking, wrapping, and running out for last-minute gifts, you don’t have to worry about what’s for dinner. You can swing by your HoneyBaked Ham store and pick up a delicious family dinner. Or you can pick up a ham for a party or family get-together. Either way, you’ve got a quick, easy, yummy solution to dinnertime.
