We’ll be finishing off the last meals from our Two-Week Cooking Project next week, so I didn’t really have a huge grocery list for this week’s shopping. I decided to take advantage of the Buy 8 – Save $4 sale at Kroger. I tried to stock us up some paper goods and other items that we were getting low on. (After last week’s cereal-fest, I decided to walk right past the cereal aisle!) I also picked up some extra ingredients for the DIY Ice Cream Cake I’m making for a family get-together. Here’s what we ended up with.

Spent: $74.16
Saved: $74.52 (50%)
I split this into two transactions, mainly because we were going out for dinner. We stopped for everything but the cold items before dinner and made one more quick stop after dinner for the cold items. That worked well, because I ended up with two catalinas (defined HERE) from the first transaction. I used them to bring down the cost of the second transaction.
