Today was my baby’s first day of kindergarten. *sniff* I can’t believe how grown up she looked in her little uniform! We stuck with our tradition of taking a picture of her with a sign showing which year of school it was. I know that we’ll appreciate this when she gets older and we’re trying to figure out which year is which! I just wanted to share a few pictures with you.
Of course, no first day of kindergarten would be complete without a really snazzy new backpack, right? Emma chose Olivia the Pig for her backpack buddy.
I’m sure no mama is ever ready for her baby to head off to kindergarten, so I’m sure I’m in good company today!

She looks so excited. Hope all went well. I actually had more trouble this year (1st grade) than kindergarten. Maybe b/c it’s a number now!

Sounds like you and Kim both had a big leap into 1st grade this year! I don’t even want to think about that! 🙂 Those number years come quickly enough. Hope 1st grade is going well!

So adorable! What a cutie patootie! She looks like your twin, by the way. 🙂 You’re such a good mommy. Emma will do GREAT at school!

You’re SO the only one who could get away with calling her a “cutie patootie” here! 🙂 She is, isn’t she? I think she’s a nice blend of features… mine and Jason’s. She’s definitely got his chin! Thanks friend!

My kids started school today too. I was especially sad about my 1st grader. I was used to having her home for lunch and running errands with her.
To overcome that sadness, youngest and I went out to eat while running errands. It will get easier I guess.

Oh Kim! I can see where having them gone all day versus half-day would be hard. We’ll jump over that hurdle next year. Enjoy your special time with youngest while the others are at school. I’m sure that’s a special treat!

Thanks Amy! She did have a happy day… which makes Mama happy too! 🙂
