A friend of mine emailed me asking how much I thought they should budget for their soon-coming baby’s needs. She specifically wanted to know about the cost of diapers, wipes, personal care items (soap, shampoo, etc.), and food (when the time comes for solids). It’s been quite a while since I bought all of those things for Emma, and I was NOT a big frugal shopper at the time.

Are there any moms of littles out there who might be able to offer my friend some insight on these costs? She’s definitely willing to use coupons, store sales, generics, and any other frugal tactics to keep the costs minimal.
