It’s offical… I’ve been spoiled by my CVS coupons and Extra Care Bucks! Somehow I missed restocking our supply of diswasher soap, and I stopped on my way home today to pick up a bottle at CVS. (Did I mention that the dishwasher was full and there were more dishes waiting in the sink!?!?)
The dishwasher soap was 6.59, and I just didn’t have the heart to pay that much for it. Of course I also didn’t have the heart to drag myself into Wal-Mart to save a little bit on it. So I dug through my purse to find my $3 ECB coupon, a $2 off any $10 purchase coupon, and a $2 off a CVS skincare coupon.
My mind started creating quick scenarios, and I came up with one that I could live with.

$1.99 CVS handsoap (because surely I need more than the 8 that are under my sink)
$3 Hot Tamales and Mike & Ikes (3 boxes total)

That was a number I could live with for soap…. especially knowing that I could surprise my hubby with his favorite Hot Tamales (2 boxes for him) and enjoy some Mike & Ikes (just one box for me). Even better, I didn’t step foot into Wal-Mart (though the price was about what I would have paid there), and my favorite cashier talked me into tasting the peanut butter-filled pretzels she opened while I was at the register. (They’re about as healthy as the Mike & Ikes!) Will I ever pay full-price for anything again?
