Beauty and the Beet Unconditional Love

That’s the overarching theme of the new VeggieTales DVD Beauty and the Beet. The creators of VeggieTales have taken their own veggie twist on the classic tale of Beauty & the Beast. They’ve topped it off with the voice of Kellie Pickler as the sweet-potato singer Mirabelle whose family band is headed for stardom. As Mirabelle shows kindness to bitter resort owner Finnegan J. Beet, we’re reminded that God loves us all unconditionally.

Once again the creators of VeggieTales have hit it out of the park. This story is timeless but with a modern spin. They’ve made it easy for kids to grasp the concept of God’s unconditional love for us while sprinkling the message with giggles and songs. Of course, you don’t want to miss “Mac and Cheese”, the new Silly Song with Larry. 😉

  18. Though my girls are now 17 & 19, they still will grab Veggie Tales to watch on road trips. They “rediscovered” them a few years ago and couldn’t believe how funny they were, now that they *got* so many references they just didn’t understand when they were little.
