I got to go solo to CVS today. It’s a good thing because I usually pay attention better when I’m by myself. I had a great trip with two transactions planned. After the first one, I should have gotten back $9 in ECBs. I only got $1. Well that just wouldn’t do. When I checked my receipt, I also realized that one of the toothpastes rang up at the regular price instead of the sale price.
Fortunately, I had a patient and cheerful cashier who immediately made it all right. I got my other $8 ECBs and was on to my second transaction. Here’s how the trip breaks down:
Transaction #1:
1 Coke Zero – $1.77
2 Garnier Nutrisse Hair Colors – $5.99 each
1 Sensodyne Pronamel – $4.49
1 Sensodyne Iso-Active – $5.99

I burned a lot of ECBs on this trip, but I got a lot of things that we needed. I’m left with just $1 ECBs for next week. I think my receipt is showing that I hit another $50 mark with the CVS Beauty Club, so I should see another $5 ECB print at the magic coupon machine the next time I’m there.
If you’re planning to do the Garnier deal or the Sensodyne deal, those two did not trigger the ECBs the way they should have. So keep a close eye on your receipts!
