K-Mart’s Super Double Coupons Event

October 27, 2008

My K-mart has not been on the list for the Super Double Coupon events, but they have been honoring the deal if you bring in a copy of an ad showing the deal advertised. I just downloaded an ad with the Super Double Coupons promo right on the front. I don’t know if my K-mart will accept this as an ad, but I’m going to try!

If you haven’t yet heard about the Super Double Coupon event, it’s fabulous! K-mart is doubling manufacturer coupons up to $2. I have yet to be able to take advantage of it, but that should change this week. This will be my first time out, and I’m doing my homework.

There are some guidelines that you need to follow. Here’s what I’ve found so far:
  • No overage will be given. You can get items free though. For example, if you buy an item that is $1.89 and you have a $1 coupon, that coupon should double to $2. Since they won’t let you have the overage, so the coupon actually doubles to $1.89. You still get the item for free!
  • There is a one coupon per item limit.
  • If you have a coupon that’s $ off two items, it only doubles on the first item.
  • They’ve had trouble with Internet printable coupons, so those are not allowed.
  • Buy-One-Get-One-Free coupons will not be doubled.
  • There is a limit of 75 coupons per person per day.
  • You can only buy 4 of each item per transaction.
  • You are responsible for paying the sales tax as if the items were regular price. For example, if your total before coupons is $10, and you use $10 worth of coupons, your total will not be $0. You will owe $.70 if your tax rate is 7%. That’s still not bad for $10-worth of merchandise!
  • They may not double coupons that specifically say “Do not double”.
  • You may not be able to use Internet printed ads to qualify if your store is not participating. If you call and find out that a printed ad qualifies, you can get a copy HERE.

To see if your store is one of the ones participating without having you bring in the ad, check HERE.

I’ve found several blogs that detail the deals that you can get, complete with coupon match-ups. Here are a few that I’ve used:
