Keeping Printable Coupons Organized

April 13, 2009

There’s nothing worse than printing a super-high-value coupon from the Internet and then not being able to find it! Okay… maybe there are a few things worse… but losing a great coupon is aggravating!

My coupon organizer is rarely stored near my computer. That means that any time I print coupons online, I have to remember to take them to my organizer and file them. What this really means is that they end up stacked among the piles of paper that seem to grow on my desk overnight! I have finally found a way to keep these printed coupons — these oh-so-valuable coupons! — organized and easy to find.

I have started to immediately trim them when they come off the printer. Then they go into a business-sized envelope that’s stored in my desk organizer. Once a week – or whenever I’m getting ready to plan a shopping trip – I file my printed coupons in my coupon organizer. This seems to have eliminated the frustration of not finding a printed coupon until 3 months after its expiration date! If I read about a great deal that requires using a coupon I’ve already printed, I know right where to look.

That’s one small area of my life where I’m organized. Now on to the rest of my desk!
