I love that Emma is big enough to help around the house. She’s even willing (most days). She has her own little morning routine that includes folding her PJs, making her bed, etc. Some days I’ll peek into her room when she’s done and wonder if she looked at the bed after she made it. There are wrinkles… lots of them… and the stuffed bear is under the covers instead of on top.
Most days I walk away and smile.
I’m more concerned about her getting into the habit of doing these little tasks than I am about them being done correctly all the time. If I’m being honest, there are days when my bed is made a little sloppier than others too. But three cheers for it actually being done!
Right now I’m choosing to focus on the process instead of the end product. The end product will improve with time and without nagging from Mommy.
