Sharing Savings – 9/24 Edition

September 24, 2010

I only made it to CVS this week, but I made $7 on that one trip! I hope you did well this week too.

Your turn…

Here is your chance to share the best deals you personally found this week! You can include drugstore, grocery store, or online finds. Pictures are helpful but not necessary. The same goes for coupons. If you can add information on which coupons you used, that will help your fellow bargain-hunters. But it’s not necessary.

To be part of Sharing Savings, please do the following.

  1. Create a blog post about your savings. If you’re not a blogger, then leave your savings information in the comments section of this post. I want to hear from everyone!
  2. Leave a direct link to your savings post(s). Do not leave a link to your blog’s home page. Those will be deleted. If you have questions about how to create a direct link to your post, please email me at savingandgiving@gmail.com.
  3. Please note the store(s) you visited in your post. This will help others replicate your great deals!
  4. Remember…. Your post should be about specific deals that YOU got this week, not store deal listings.
  5. A link back to this post would be appreciated.

I mainly stocked up on Green Giant frozen boxed veggies and a little bit of soup this week at Kroger. The veggies were on sale for $1.50 each. I bought 8, used 8 $.50 coupons which doubled to $1.00 each and a $.60 e-coupon. My out of pocket for these was $3.40, but I also received a $3.00 catalina, which essentially made them only $.40 for all 8! I then did this same transaction at another Kroger on a different day (because the first Kroger didn’t have much selection left). All in all, I paid only $.80 for 16 boxes of veggies. The sugar snap peas are our favorite! Also a good deal at Kroger was Campbell’s Chunky Soup. It was on sale for $1.25 and I used 6 $.50 coupons, which doubled to $1.00, so each can was only $.25!

          He’s such a good guy! I know he’ll enjoy his Campbell’s. 😉
