We spent today wrapping up our visit with my in-laws and traveling home (six hours!) with a zillion other drivers. So we totally missed out on Black Friday…. torture for a frugal blogger like me! We don’t get to see our distant family all that often, so it was worth it.
I was quite surprised when I called my parents and found out that they were heading out to the mall. They usually avoid Black Friday like the plague! Since they were going to be at the mall, I asked if they wanted to swing by Toys ‘R Us to see if they had any of the $29.99 Leapsters left. They went, they hunted, and they scored the deal! In fact, they even got the pink one which always seems to be priced higher than the green one. Perfect for our girly-girl!
So, a HUGE thank you goes out to my mom and dad for saving us about $20 on this gift for Emma! I may have missed Black Friday, but they helped us snag the one deal that we really wanted today.
