Please tell me that it’s not just me who has THOSE days. You know the ones…. You forget to defrost the meat for dinner. You forget to put everything in the slow cooker. You forget to buy a key ingredient and don’t realize it until it’s too late. You have to shuttle kids to ballet, meet a work deadline, and clean the house for this weekend’s company. You know…. THOSE days.

Now that Spring is here, I know that we’re going to have more of THOSE days. It’s soooo nice outside. We’ll end up playing in the yard, enjoying the sunshine and flowers, and not paying attention to the time. Dinnertime will sneak up on us!
When we’re short on time, we’re always tempted to eat out. It’s quick. It’s easy. There’s no cleanup. But it can also get expensive.
Enter Tyson’s Breakfast Bread Bowls…

We like to make breakfast for dinner, and the Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls struck me as a quick & easy dinner solution for THOSE days. You see our whole Sam’s Club shopping trip experience in my Google+ story here.
For our dinner last night, we made the Breakfast Bread Bowls, added some fresh berries…….

…. and some fresh oranges. And we had breakfast for dinner.

We invited my parents to join us for breakfast-for-dinner, and everyone around the table gave the Breakfast Bread Bowls two thumbs up. We decided that they would be great for breakfast or lunch on-the-go too. I gave them a thumbs-up for a quick and easy dinner solution that keeps us from eating out! (And the quick and easy clean-up didn’t affect my vote either…. really. ;))

I like that the Breakfast Bread Bowls are packed in twos for freshness. The heating directions are even printed on the clear packs, so no need to keep the big box. That makes it much easier to stash the unused ones in the freezer for a grab-and-go meal. The directions said to make them in the microwave, which we did this time. I think that next time we’ll try them in our toaster oven (which is also a countertop convection oven). We might like that crispy chewy bready taste! We still have some in the freezer, so I’m sure there will be a little experimenting going on.

Oooh you’ve done that too? Hee hee. Makes me feel better! 🙂
No, I’m sure no cleaning up had no effect on you liking these; just like they didn’t on me 🙂
