Kroger Shopping Trip: Big Savings & Free Milk

November 18, 2011

Have you joined our series An Organized Christmas? The purpose is to plan and prepare now so that we can all kick back, relax, and enjoy the holiday season with our friends and family. You can catch up on the posts from the series An Organized Christmas here. I hope that you’ll join me in making this Christmas more meaningful and peaceful.

We finally made it to Kroger this week to take advantage of the FREE milk offer from General Mills. Here’s what we got.

Merchandise Value: $139.64
Out-of-Pocket Cost: $63.05 (+ my $25 Kroger gift card)
Savings: $76.59 (55%)

If you need Coke or Pepsi 12-packs for upcoming holiday parties and you got the $1.50/$10.00 Kroger beverage coupon in the mail, this is a great week to use it! You can get 4 12-packs for $11.00 this week. So after the extra $1.50 off, they’re $2.38 each. Not bad.

Here’s what I did for the General Mills deal:

Each item was priced at $2.50, and I had coupons for most of them.

2 Cascadian Farms Cereals
2 $0.75/1 Cascadian Farm Product

1 Nature Valley Granola Thins
$0.50/1 Nature Valley Granola Thins (doubled to $1 off)

1 Nature Valley Granola Bars
FREE NV Granola Bar coupon from Kroger home mailer

2 Cheerios
*The only coupons I could find were for Honey Nut Cheerios, and we prefer regular. So no coupons here.

2 gallons milk
FREE with purchase of 8 GM products

You can see all of this week’s Kroger deals here. There are some good ones this week!
