Kroger Trip: 20 Boxes of Cereal + Some Necessities for $32

January 9, 2011

Spent: $32.44
Saved: $67.27 (67%)

We’re in the process of packing up our house to move this week, so I haven’t been doing much shopping at all. (I’d just have to pack whatever I bought, right?) But the cereal deal at Kroger was too good to resist, especially when I found out that one of our local food pantries desperately needs some help.

My mom printed the Buy 1 – Get 1 FREE Special K coupons, and so did I (on both computers). So we ended up with six of those. I also had some Kashi coupons from the Vocalpoint home mailer and a $3 Kashi Recycle Bank coupon.

So we picked up 20 boxes of cereal and some odds-and-ends just to get us through the next couple of days. I accidentally left the loaf of bread out. And where DID those three missing mini-cupcakes go?

I also had 4 Buy 1 – Get 1 FREE Vitamin Water coupons AND 2 Vitamin Water catalina coupons. So those were a steal.

If you want to stock up on cereal, this deal is good through Sunday (1/9). Be sure to not clear your store’s shelves. Our Kroger had TONS of Kashi and Special K waiting, so there was plenty left when I was done.

Is it the St. Clairsville Food Pantry that needs help?

It’s Project Manna that’s in need right now. My mom’s working on finding out exactly what they need and if they can take food donations or just cash. I’m planning to do a post letting everyone know the details.
