Menu Planning via Pinterest

November 5, 2012

Ever get a meal planning rut? Sure it’s easy to plan recipes we always make. But I get tired of making them. I’ve hit that point again. I’ve looked through my recipes and everything just looks BLAH.

So where do I turn? Pinterest, of course. You know… The food pictures I pin and repin and then never make. Now’s the time! I’m pinning my way through meal planning this week.

:: Breakfasts ::

Easy Oven Pancakes
Gingerbread Scones with Cinnamon Glaze
Egg Sandwiches
Baked Apples with Oatmeal Topping
Bananas & Cream Oatmeal
Homemade Cinnamon Rolls & Eggs

:: Lunches ::

Leftovers (I’m guessing we’ll have a bunch!)
Munchy Lunch (cheese, veggies, fruit… finger foods!)
Sandwiches & Veggies

:: Dinners ::

Quinoa Lunchbox Muffins (but for dinner), Green Beans, Corn
Three Cheese Chicken Penne Pasta Bake
Slow Cooked Tri-Tip, Slow Cooker Potatoes, Ginger-Glazed Carrots
Taco Pizza (recipe coming soon)
Easy Baked Fish, Sweet Potato Chips, Broccoli Side Dish

Have you found any wonderfully yummy-looking pins on Pinterest? Share! Share! I’m hoping a little Pinterest-inspired cooking this week will kick-start my creativity.

      That’s great Liz! I think I have the hardest time with breakfast and lunch because I don’t always plan for them. I have another post here about thinking outside the (cereal) box for breakfast: http://www.savingandgiving.net/recipes/breakfast-mission-thinking-outside-the-box/ I haven’t tried all of them, but I like having that as a reference when I get stuck. Hope that helps!

    I love munchy lunch! It’s one I enjoy frequently (since it’s just me and an infant at home) but hubby always vetoes it on the weekends 🙁

      We’re with you! I think my Emma would have munchy lunch every day if I’d let her.

    I am slowly working my way through my pins. My hubby & 4 yo would be happy with a 2-wk rotation, but my 9 & 11 enjoy trying new recipes with me. I make sure to go back & comment/delete with each recipe tried. I have found some great ones and a few that gave been deleted.

      That’s a great tip, Brenda. I need to go back and make some notes about the ones we’ve tried. Thanks for the idea!
