Saved 93% at CVS

This was a great week for me at CVS! When I scanned my card at the magic coupon machine inside the store, I ended up with a $5 off $30 purchase coupon. I thought there was NO WAY I would have $30 worth of purchases, but I ended up making good use of the coupon.  Here’s what I got. (Click the image to enlarge it.)

Starting ECBs: $4.49
Merchandise Total Value: $40.50
Out-of-Pocket Cost: $3.01 plus tax (paid with a gift card)
ECBs Earned: $5.00
Savings: $37.49 (93%)

I had a prescription to pick up while I was at the store, so I stopped by the pharmacy first. Since it was a new prescription, I was able to use a coupon for a free gift card.  (It was a Kmart coupon, but CVS honors competitors’ pharmacy coupons.)

2 Biore Pore Strips – $6.00 each
2 Biore Cleansers – $6.00 each
3 Puffs Tissues – $1.50 each
4 Fig Newtons – $1.00 each
8 Oreos – $1.00 each

-$5.00 off $30.00 purchase coupon from the machine
-$4.00 off any $20 skincare coupon from a previous receipt
-$6.00 x 2 Buy 1 – Get 1 FREE Biore coupons from 3/7 SmartSource insert
–$1.00 off x 2 any Biore product printable coupon
–$1.00 off x 4 Fig Newtons Facebook coupon
You may print 2 per computer. We have 2 computers.
–$1.00 off 2 x 4 Nabisco Cookies Facebook coupon
Again, we have 2 computers and I was able to print 4 copies.
-$1.00 off Puffs coupon from Vocalpoint home mailer
-$.50 off x 2 Puffs coupons from Vocalpoint home mailer
-$4.49 ECBs from last week
