This Kroger trip was done on Tuesday, but I haven’t had time to post it until today. We didn’t need much this week to round out our meal plan. So we only spent a refreshing $29.27 on groceries this week. Here’s what we got.
I was pleasantly surprised with the rotisserie chicken. They’ve been rather scrawny lately, but we easily got two meals out of this one. We just ate the chicken with sides the first night, and I made Southwest chicken wraps (added refried beans, salsa, and cheese) the second night. I also had a $2 off Kroger e-coupon for the chicken on my card. That made it only $2.99!
The cheese was a decent deal at $2.99 for a 4-cup package. The baby carrots and cottage cheese are only $1 each this week.
We found two manager’s special items, the mushrooms (which looked as good as the ones that weren’t marked down!?!) for $1.39 (16 oz.) and the 2-pack of sweet Italian bread for $.65. We had the bread with two different meals this week.
I’ll probably head back in tomorrow to pick up food for next week’s menu. I also want to snag the free Pantene shampoo or get a rain check for it if they’re sold out. I don’t need it, but if I’m already at the store, I’ll pick it up for the food pantry.
I’m hoping that next week’s sales will be a little more stellar than this week! Did you find any great deals that I missed?

the pantene is trial size! fyi
Thanks, Paige. That’s good to know. I guess I could still pick it up if I’m there anyhow. I do have a trip coming up, and with the new airline regulations, that’s probably what I’m going to need. So thanks for letting me know!
