30-Day Giving Challenge: Halfway Day & Halo Sleepsack Giveaway

Today is the 15th, so we’re halfway through the 30-Day Giving Challenge. Have you noticed yourself being in a different frame of mind now that we’re focused on giving every day? The challenge is always in the back of my mind. I’m thinking we may need to turn this into a 12-month giving challenge next time!

  2. a few years ago, we were moving one month after my daughter’s birthday.

    for her party that year, she asked her friends to bring a gift for the local women’s shelter, instead of for her… since we didn’t need to pack extra items!!

  11. I am gathering Christmas toys, crayons small things to donate to an organization who sends shoe boxes full of goodies to kids in Bosnia. Such a good cause.

  45. We lik eto participate in Operation Christmas Child at this time of year. We pack shoeboxes with treats, toys and basics (school supplies, toothpaste, etc) and they go to children all over the world

    Idea for giving – clean out your closets, cupboards, garages… and give your surpluses to a local charity like Salvation Army or Deseret Industries!

  57. The food shelf is a great place to give. They take cash, or food donations (and this time of year its easy to donate – since all kinds of places tend to have food drives!)
