With Christmas just around the corner, it’s time to finish up that last-minute shopping and gift-making. Emma and I spent some time this morning whipping up some gifts. We had fun working on them and spending time together. That’s a win-win!
We’re trying to incorporate our Young Living Essential Oils in our gift-giving this year. We want our family and friends to reap the same benefits that we’ve enjoyed from using the oils. We got a couple of people their own bottles of Thieves oil and Thieves hand santizier. But we were at a loss for some of the smaller gifts we needed. How could we share oils with dance teachers, Sunday School teachers, and choir directors? We did a little research and found some awesome ideas. Here are some of them.

Foaming Hand Soap by Amy Loves It :: This could be made with all sorts of different oils. I even found a glass foaming soap pump that could would work if you’re using citrus-based oils. Abundant Health also has empty plastic foamer bottles here.
Homemade Bath Salts from The Frugal Girls :: These are relaxing and detoxing all at the same time. Though the directions on this site mention other oils, I would recommend sticking with the purity of Young Living Essential Oils instead. I’m thinking about making these using Lavender or Stress Away oils.
Dinosaur Egg Bath Bombs from Wholesome Mommy :: What a fabulous idea for the kiddos! I showed these to Emma and she promptly decided she would be making some for her cousins AND for herself! I’m thinking about using soap molds and making some of these for the grown-ups too.
Easy Sugar Scrub from Amy Loves It :: Emma and I made 12 little jars of this easy sugar scrub this morning. We opted for the Citrus Fresh oil blend.
Easy DIY Body Butter from Real Food Enthusiast :: We love the health benefits of eating coconut oil. This is a great way to get the skin care benefits too. And who knew it could be THIS easy to whip up your own body butter? The essential oils make this smell oh-so good and add some amazing benefits for your skin.
Homemade Peppermint Lip Balm Like Burt’s Bees :: I love that these come in at about $1 each. Add cute label, and they would be perfect stocking stuffers! I’m sure you could also use Frankincense or Lavender for some skin-healing benefits. You can even get 50 empty lip balm tubes for $10 shipped here.
DIY Bath Fizzies with Young Living Essential Oils :: You could make these with RC for colds or Peppermint for sore muscles. I’m thinking some purple flower-shaped ones with lavender would make a fun girlie gift.
I love the creativity involved with all of these gifts. You can put your own spin on which oils you use, which shape and color you make, all sorts of fun things!
