Carbonite is high on our worth-paying-for-yearly list. And that’s a hard list to get on. Just about a year ago, Jason signed up with Carbonite and started backing up his files. We dumped all of our family photos onto his computer so they would be backed up.
A few months later we decided it was time for him to get a new computer. These things only have a certain life you know. And with our business being computer-based, he needed something speedier. He got his new computer and immediately connected it to his Carbonite account.
It was amazing.
He was able to get all of his backed up files onto the new computer without any trouble. I inwardly groaned at the HOURS…. DAYS I had spent transferring files when I switched computers. He did a little click-click and POOF his files were ready to roll. I wasn’t jealous. Not at all. (You believe me, right?)
Since then, I’ve realized that I have way too many files to keep sending them to Jason’s computer for backup. I got my computer started with Carbonite in September. I like that it runs in the background, backing everything up without me telling it to do anything. Foolproof. I need that. 😉
Most of all I like the peace of mind of knowing that, if anything would happen to either computer, our pictures and files are safe. All 134,969 of my files. For $59 per year. That works.
So why am I sharing this with you?
Right now Carbonite is offering a $20 Amazon gift card to anyone who signes up for their service. That means you pay $59 and get back a $20 gift card. $39 for a year of protected files. Nice! You can even opt for the free 15-day trial to make sure that you like how it all works. (You totally will.)
Once you’re a Carbonite customer, you can sign up for their Refer-a-Friend program. Then you can refer friends. Your friend gets a $20 Amazon gift card. You get another $20 Amazon gift card. Win-win. The link in this post is my Refer-a-Friend link (Christmas is coming!), so if you sign up you and I will both get $20 gift cards. Yay! We can shop together. 🙂
