Do you have a fancy recycling bag like mine? It’s a brown grocery bag that sits in the corner of my kitchen. We toss our paper recyclables in it and drop it off at our church when it’s bulging overflowing embarrassing full.
Now Rubbermaid has come up with a slightly more attractive way to handle recycling, the Hidden Recycler. The Hidden Recycler attaches to the inside of a cabinet door to collect recyclables our of sight and keeps your counters clear. The bag is durable, machine washable, and made of recycled material. You can collect your recyclables and then easily lift the bag from the lid and cabinet by the handle to take them out to your recycle bin. The 5-gallon bag holds 36 uncrushed cans and is large enough to fit 1 gallon milk jugs.

You can learn more about the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler here. Be sure to check out the Interactive Demo that’s available and the Rubbermaid Adventures in Organizing blog. They have some amazing projects, tips, and ideas there!

We recycle glass, tin, and #1 plastics.
Sadly, we used to be able to recycle more types of plastics but, for some reason, it’s more limited now.

I love this idea! I have tons of newspaper sitting around for recycling junking up my apartment. This is such a great idea!
I recycle everything I can (plastic, paper, cardboard, glass, cans). Our bin is usually overflowing on garbage day each week. The giveaway this week is such a convienent idea.
We recycle about everything we “can”. Cans being what fill the bins most; hubby drinks a lot of diet coke and bottled water. I drink red wine, save some bottles recycle the rest and for lil G her juicy juice bottles and the milk jugs. 😉

I liked the five things you can purge from your home right now story on the Adventures in Organizing blog.
We recycle glass, plastic, aluminum, metal, and paper. We have a small drawer in the kitchen where we collect things, and then we take them to the basement and put them in bags. The drawer gets full too fast. This handy recycling bag looks like it will hold more. I would love to win it!

I read about organizing towels on the Rubbermaid site. For some reason my linen closet is always getting messy with too many towels. Using their math, our family of 3 should only need 6-8 towels, so I’m sure I can get rid of some. Maybe I’ll donate them to the animal shelter.

we try and recycle all paper, aluminum cans, glass but we have to take it all outside which we hate if its raining
this would be great to stick under the cabinet near the sink and just put in the bins when its full..thanks for the giveaway
been a fan for a long time and love reading your blog..
We recycle plastic and paper. We don’t currently have a place to keep the recycling until we take it down to the road. A small kitchen cupboard typically gets very messy holding everything

The Adventures in Organizing blog has as great tip about keeping accessories together with the main appliance (like a food processor) in one open tub. I’ve always kept the accessories together but not with the food processor. And lost a lot of parts…
