It seems princesses are all the rage at our house right now. And while playing princesses can be fun, we’re trying to help Emma see that as a child of God, she’s a child of the King. That’s where she’s really a princess.
We recently received Sheila Walsh’s How To Be God’s Little Princess from Tommy Nelson. This is an adorable pink handbook for girls. It covers fun topics like dressing appropriately for different activities, hair care, mealtime manners, and friendship. There’s even a chapter titled “How a Princess Knows She Needs an Inner Beauty Makeover.” The book also includes fun crafts, quizzes, and other activities to encourage girls to follow after God.
This book is one that Emma will grow with. Some of the issues in it are ones that she’s just on the edge of experiencing. She certainly did love taking (and giving Mommy) the quizzes! This book is a fun way for girls to begin to learn etiquette, manners, and lots more.
