“Haven’t you heard? The King is coming to Bethlehem.”
“But Bethlehem is an itsy bitsy town,” Bitsy explained. “Why would a King come here?”
“This King is special. He comes for everyone, big and small.”
“Like us?” Itsy asked.
“Like you.”
In Itsy Bitsy Christmas by max Lucado we meet Itsy and Bitsy, two sweet little mice who think they’re too small and too ordinary. But they hear that a King is coming to Bethlehem. They set off to find the King, excited about meeting Him. Along the way they run into other animals who discourage their excitement, assuring them that a King would only come to important people in important places. Just when they’re about to give up hope, they learn that Jesus has come for everyone.
