I just read that the Consumer Queen’s house flooded. She and her family (and even her pets) are safe, but they do not have flood insurance. And they have lost just about everything.

If you’ve not read her story, I highly recommend heading over to ConsumerQueen.com to learn more about this amazing woman. Even as she is dealing with losing just about everything, she is concerned with seeing how much of her grocery and personal care stockpile was unharmed so that she can make up some goodie bags for her neighbors. Amazing.
Some of my fellow bloggers have set up a Chip In donation collection site to help. If you’re interested in offering even $5, you can do so through the Chip In widget set up by Mommy Brain. I’ll place a copy of it below. Even if we each give just $5 or $10, that can add up very quickly. If you can’t give, that’s okay too! Please keep Melissa (The Consumer Queen) and her family in your prayers. With some pre-existing health issues, the cleanup process is going to be a long one.

Thank you for being so sweet. I gave yesterday!
Thanks for sharing this. I posted it to my blog as well. It we all give a little it can add up to a lot.
