I just made a homemade ranch dip that we loved. I’ve looked high and low for a recipe I like, but I just couldn’t find one that was quite right. So I made my own. This one has a little kick to it, but you can simply increase the sour cream to tone it down. If you want to make it a salad dressing instead, add a little buttermilk (or regular milk) until it’s thin enough for your liking.
Homemade Creamy Ranch Dip {or Salad Dressing}
Ingredients:
1 1/2 tsp. dried parsley
3/4 tsp. ground black pepper (less if you want less kick)
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/8 tsp. dried thyme
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sour cream
Mix all ingredients with a whisk or fork. Chill for 30 minutes before serving.
If you want a milder tasting dip, just add more sour cream to tone it down. If you want to make a salad dressing instead, add buttermilk (or regular milk) until it’s as thin as you want it.

We have ranch dressing on our shopping list now, but all these ingredients in our pantry. I’m going to give it a try. Thanks for the recipe.

Even better if it saves something from being written on the grocery list! Hope you like it. 🙂
