This summer has been downright hot. When it got so steamy hot that it was miserable to even be outside, it was far too easy to default to playing Wii for some exercise or watching a movie to pass the time. We even tried some hula hooping in the living room. You can see why I was thrilled when I was asked if we’d like to try out the new Polly Pocket Hangout House & Stick ‘N Play Room Assortment.
Since we opened the box two weeks ago, this has been living in our living room and kitchen….
Emma was THRILLED to break open the packages and start playing with the Polly Pocket Hangout House. She’s a huge Polly Pocket fan, and this just about put her over the top. She played with it all.day.long. the first day. In fact, we had to talk her into leaving it long enough to go to a party at the park that evening.
I can see why she was fascinated with the set. It uses the new Stick ‘N Play feature where each of the pieces has a suction cup. That means no more chasing little Polly pieces across the floor or hunting on hands and knees when they go missing. The Stick ‘N Play suction cups also allowed us to move the house without having to be careful about the furniture moving. Even Polly’s pets stayed put!
And of course Polly’s shoes have suction cups, meaning that she can stand to go up the elevator to the top floor.
I really like that the Hangout House is expandable. We got to try out the Polly Pocket Game Room. It hooked right to the Hangout House (like any good room addition should!). Emma likes that the pool table’s top flips over to become a ping pong table.
I was quite impressed by the Polly Pocket Hangout House, mostly because of the attention to detail. It’s much easier to play with than some of the other Polly Pocket toys that we’ve tried in the past. It’s easy to move and has provided this family HOURS of summertime entertainment.
